If you want to look younger, see clearer, and take care of your family for many more years. Then I think you will love this story.
Carla came to the Snead Eye Group 7 years ago. Like many people- she had neglected going to the eye doctor for many years. However, she knew it was time to come in for a visit when her vision started getting foggier.
She walked into my office, and that’s when she told me about her eye problems. She was worried that she wasn’t going to be able to take care of herself or her family. So that’s when I told her about our “Continuum of Care” practice.
What’s The Continuum Of Care You Ask?
We started on her first visit by creating a vision for her health.
Carla told me that she wanted to enjoy better eyesight so she didn’t have to wear ugly glasses. She also wanted her eyes to look younger, get rid of some of the wrinkles, and have an easy time reading books, driving, watching her grandchildren.
I also told Carla: “With Continuum of Care- not only can we help you create a vision for your eye health. But we also monitor your eye health so we can catch problems before they become a BIG problem.”
That’s very important. Why? Because your eyes aren’t just a window into your eye health… but they are a window into your entire body.
Did you know that your eye doctor can catch heart disease and cancer by just looking into your eyes? As well as many other life threatening health issues.
Pretty cool right? Well- when you’re on a Continuum of Care plan- we catch those issues before they get out of control- health problems that cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars, your health, and maybe even your life.
And of course- we can easily catch common eye problems such as glaucoma and cataracts.
And That’s Exactly What Happened To Carla
One day a few years ago- she came in for one of her regular eye exams. It’s a good thing she came into the office. Because when one of our doctors looked into her pupil- we noticed signs of cataracts.
So immediately – she ordered a “Slit Lamp Examination” a test which allows a doctor to view your cornea, iris, and lens under intense magnification to find abnormalities. The test showed that Carla had an early case of Cataracts. Now, cataracts take time to progress- but if they’re left untreated, cataracts can lead to blindness.
So it’s a good thing we caught the cataracts early… and removing them was simple- our doctor performed the “LenSx Femtosecond Laser Cataract Surgery.” And after a short recovery- Carla was left feeling (and seeing) better than ever!
Here’s What Happened After Carla’s 7 Years Of “Continuum Of Care”
Not only did we help Carla achieve her goals of seeing clearly without glasses. Making her look younger by treating her eyes, wrinkles, and vision… but we also helped her remove her cataracts before they got out of control.
However, it wasn’t just Carla who benefited. But her entire family is now a part of the “Continuum of Care” plan too… her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. It also means that Carla can rest assured knowing that she has the best eye doctors on her side- making sure that she has the energy, health, and confidence needed to take care of her family for many more years.
