Dr. Brad Snead is Medical Director of Snead Eye Group and a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist. Dr. Snead completed his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciencesat Auburn University,
graduating Summa Cum Laude. After receiving his Medical Degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, he completed his Internal Medicine Internship atthe Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama, and his Ophthalmology residency at theMedical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.
His commitment to providing exceptional quality surgery to his patients is reflected by the numerous referrals he receives from fellow eye care professionals and previous patients. Dr. Snead utilizes the latest techniques while performing cataract and refractive surgery, functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery, glaucoma surgery, and laser vision correction, includingLASIK and PRK.
Dr. Snead is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of theAmerican College of Surgeons. He holds professional memberships in theAmerican Academy of Ophthalmology, theAmerican Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, theAmerican Medical Association, theAmerican College of Physicians,Florida Medical Association, Lee County Medical Society, and Collier County Medical Society. He regularly gives his time and surgical talents to help those in need through organizations such as the Lions Club and EyeCare America. He also lectures within the community, performs free public eye screenings, and provides treatment options.
In his spare time, Dr. Snead enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He is an avid athlete and former five-time Alabama State Tennis Champion. He enjoys tennis, golf, biking, as well as traveling to the mountains with his family.
