Latisse
For years women have taken great measures to have fuller, longer eyelashes. Finally, Latisse has arrived.
When patients being treated for glaucoma with the prescription drug Lumigan noticed a dramatic change in the growth of their eyelashes the manufacture, Allergan saw an opportunity.
Latisse is approved by the FDA to actually grow eyelashes, longer and thicker by applying it to the upper lid margin.
Latisse is available by prescription only and is not covered by insurance as it is considered cosmetic. As with any other drug, Latisse can produce side effects. Such side effects include: redness and irritation of the eye, in some cases darkening of the skin around the eye and the iris (the colored part of your eye).
Before you begin Latisse you will first need to have an eye examination and also be checked after using the medication for 2 to 3 months. Examinations for starting Latisse are not covered by insurance.
