Levator Dehiscence
Levator Dehiscence is a form of Ptosis repair. Ptosis is the medical term used to describe the drooping of the upper eyelid. There are several reasons one may develop ptosis : old age, trauma, weakening of the eyelid muscle, and even in some cases neurological disease.
Over time the levator muscle that keeps the eyelid in place can stretch causing a droopy eyelid. The condition can cause reduced field of vision, and eventually complete vision obstruction.
By tightening the levator muscle through surgery, these symptoms can be reversed, giving back the ability to see clearly without the obstruction of a droopy eyelid.
Snead Eye Group has the experience and knowledge to repair your droopy eyelids.
