A soft voice, with just a slight southern accent, and a philosophy that he treats every patient “in the same manner as he did his parents while performing their cataract surgery,” are just some of the reasons Dr. Snead has a constant demand to care for new and established patients alike. Dr. John W. Snead has been serving Southwest Florida’s eyesight needs since 1985.

Dr. Brad Snead, Medical Director of SNEADEYE GROUP, is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, offering a wealth of experience in cataract and refractive surgery. His commitment to providing exceptional quality surgery to his patients is reflected by the numerous referrals he receives from fellow eye care professionals and previous patients.

Dr. Richard Davis has been an integral part of the Fort Myers community for over three decades. In 1975 Dr. Davis opened South Fort Myers Eye Care and Cataract Center in a thriving part of south Fort Myers and the rest as they say is history. His soft spoken demeanor and the ability to relate to his patients in a calm and caring manner, have made Dr. Davis one of the most successful ophthalmologists in Southwest Florida.

Dr. Michael Pham - Board Certified Optometrist - Snead Eye Group

MICHAEL PHAM, OD

Originally from Canada, Dr. Pham completed his undergraduate degree in Genetics at the University of Western Ontario and his doctorate in Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. While in Chicago, he trained at the University of Chicago, Department of Ophthalmology and furthered his training at the Veterans Affairs medical centers in Huntington, WV and Gainesville, FL.

Dr. Allison Coll

ALLISON COLL,OD

Board Certified Optometrist

Dr. Allison Coll grew up outside of Philadelphia and completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State University. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. While in optometry school, she completed externships with various optometry and ophthalmology practices in Philadelphia, Charleston, Savannah, and the VA Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Dr Kate Maloney

KATE MALONEY, OD

Dr. Kate Maloney grew up in New Jersey and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. While in optometry school she would do clinicals in the Health Centers in the poor area’s of Boston. Most of the patients didn’t speak English, so she learned interpersonal skills, specifically how to communicate with patients to assess their problems.

Dr. Salvatore DeCanio

Dr. DeCanio is a Board-Certified Optometric physician – Fellow American Academy of Optometry and a native of South Florida. His commitment and vast experience in optometric field working for quality patient care.

Dr. DeCanio completed his undergraduate at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he received his degree of Bachelor of Arts in biology with Honors, cum laude. After receiving his Medical Degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry (OD), Houston, Texas, where he was on the Dean’s Honor List. De. DeCanio completed his residency in Hospital-base Optometry and Ocular Disease at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, New Mexico. Under the direction of Dr. Lawrence Rudel, he conducted basic research in arteriosclerosis and lipoprotin in biochemistry on monkey colonies they bred. Also compiled inaugural laboratory manuals on these research methods.

Ann Rasmussen, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Ann Rasmussen, Au.D., CCC-A, was awarded the position of Research Fellow at University of South Florida, where she conducted speech-in-noise tests. She has been nationally recognized for her work on speech understanding in noise, which was published by the Acoustical Society of America. As a top hearing doctor in the field of audiology, she was the first approved provider in Naples for Neuromonics Tinnitus Treatment. Dr. Rasmussen is also able to hone her audiologic talents while taking care of her sister and daughter, who both live with hearing loss.

Bob Furman is a familiar face here at Snead Eye Group with over 12 years experience in our premier optical shop. His long term commitment to providing exceptional customer service shines through in his warm smile and friendly hand shake. He’s the face you know in the Optical area, and he typically knows you by name the next time you come to visit. Bob has been in the optical industry since 1959 in all phases of development, and is a true craftsman, an artisan at ensuring you find the best eyewear to meet your individual needs.
Bob spends quality time with his wife when he isn’t working, and serves as a volunteer with the Prison Ministry for the past 17 years. He has a true passion for helping those in need. An interesting side to Bob that you probably don’t know is that he is an avid collector of antique fountain pens from all over the world. When you are asked to sign the credit card slip, Bob will loan you one of his rare antique fountain pens to sign your name!
